"I do not accept drinks from disapproving gentlemen"

Minimalist but "ooh-look-at-my-sparkly-lids-arent-you-jealous" made-up faces graced the pretty little glares of the models strutting the catwalk of Zac Posen's 2006 Spring runway. (pictured up top) To achieve this natural yet eye-catching look, (all prices and descriptions of products up top are down below)

1. Always remember to exfoliate weekly or every two weeks to get any dead skin cells off the surface, which will help the makeup to glide on smoothly, as well as a dab of mositurizer all over the face to act as a primer each time before applying makeup.

2. A thin layer of foundation may be needed, then powder the face with a matte powder perfect for your skin tone. (Hint: Sometimes to find your perfect shade of foundation, you may have to mix a few different shades of foundation together. Also, don't test foundation on the back of your hand, as many people say, because the back of your hand is often darker than the rest of your body, due to constant UV exposure and lack of exfoliation. Try testing it on your lower jawline and then viewing it in a natural light.)
3. Lightly contour underneath the cheek.
4. Prime from the lids to the brow-line with a little foundation or translucent powder to keep the eyeshadow on all day long. Apply a shimmery silver shadow from the lids to brow-line.

5. Apply lash primer. Curl lashes close to the root for 30 seconds, then the middle of your lashes for 30 seconds, then the ends of your lashes for 30 seconds. Apply a light coat of mascara, wiggling the mascara brush at the base of the lashes.

6. Keep the lips pale. If your lips are naturally red (like myne..ugh) line your lips with a color slightly lighter than your skin tone and a lipstick that matches your skin tone, then by rubbing your lips, blend them together.

This is a stick-up. Give me all your runway looks and no one gets hurt.

Ahhh, I have been drooling over the Spring 2007 runway looks. Unfortunatley, my poor purse is lonely and sad, it has no money to accompany it. That means, bargain searching again for me this approaching season. Now, my peresonal style is usually edgier, something that makes people take a second glance, or something with a rock essence to it. However, after looking at 3.1 Philip Lim's collection, I had to clean the drool off my router. The crisp white linens, the bright, exciting florals, the creamy white-golds. The collection had a certain unspoken elegance and simplicity that made me el-oh-vee-e (ew i hate that song, why am i writing it?) it. It reminded me of those Country Home magazines and drinking tea in grandmother's lush garden. (Does that even happen, because i sure have never experienced it) So I searched around the internet and found some affordable pieces that everyone, even people broker than me (if that's possible) can afford. Because, let's be serious, not all of us get gold cards before we're 18 and ferraris and nosejobs for our 16th birthday. Everything above is under 130 dollars, so enjoy. =) All items are pictured up top, and for the stores and prices scroll down just a little. =D

"Have you heard of my religion? It's called the Chuch of Hot Addiction"

Legs that stretch for miles, perfect bone structure, a closet full of size zero designer duds. You all know who i'm talking about, the modellas. Or as I like to call these blessed souls, "the chosen ones." The few given the important task of making us "common folk" lust over those one of a kind gowns and desire those 5'10" twiggy frames. I have a few favorite models; the punky Agyness, the captivating Julia Dunstall, the alluring Olja ,the classic beauty of Camilla Finn. But, the spotlight is put on one model today, Georgia Frost (pictured left); a gorgeous newcomer who hails from the UK. She stands at a lengthy, but-short-for-the-modeling-world 5'8", and after being in the industry for a mere 6 months, she is set to be the next rising star, booked to the brim with the "it" designers of today. There is something about that blonde blonde hair and dark dark eyebrows that makes me want to scream "SOMEONE GET OVER HERE WITH AN EYEBROW PENCIL AND A BOTTLE OF PEROXIDE PRONTO." She reminds me of a delicate porcelain doll with her dainty features and creamy skin and is quickly my becoming my favorite model of the moment. I may be crazy, but I believe she is reminiscent of the late Edie Sedgewick, with a bit of Twiggy and Sienna Miller thrown in. She may not have the most unique look, but a gorgeous one nonetheless. Until next time, ciao loves.
